Wed, 17 May 2006 Today we discuss the hippie conceptions of activism and compassion. Recently we found a locally produced hippie podcast. They attempt to take us to task for some off-handed remarks we made about how hippies use activism to force their morality on everyone. Naturally we applied THK ju-jitsu to their arguments and left them in a quivering lump of virgorously refuted gratuitous assertions. We extend the conversation by examining another clip that details what we believe to be the driving force behind alot of hippie "activism", the compulsion, borne out of uncontrolled empathy, to "do something" for those presumed to be less fortunate.
